Period startups

Many startups are interested in women health, some focuses on menstruation and are designing or offering new solutions to help solve issues faced by young girls and women:

- Education : graphic novel,

- Availability : vending machines,

- Affordability : reusable,

- Complete solution : kit,

- Waste reduction : biodegradable,

- Redesign : better products.

On 2021, NEXT CANADA announced RUTH as a NEXT36 2021 cohort member and winner of the scotiabank outstanding contribution to society award, RUTH is offering a biodegradable and compostable pads that are easily.


Lubricated tampon

On 2021, NEXT CANADA announced MARLOW as a NEXT36 2021 cohort member, it's a lubricated tampon kit intended to replace the dry plastic stick.


The cup and tampon combined

On the 7 October 2021, The forge/mcmaster university published a post announcing DAHLIA as the 15,000CAD grand prize winner of startup survivor pitch competition, DAHLIA is developing a feminine hygiene product that combines the menstrual cup and the tampon.
